Kristina DiLauro

Kristina is a pediatric speech, language, and feeding therapist. Kristina graduated Summa Cum Laude from Molloy College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She also received a Master of Science degree from Adelphi University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Kristina has a passion for feeding therapy and completed her Clinical Doctorate degree in Speech Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of the Health Professions. Her capstone investigation focused on using telepractice to determine the effects of Parent Training to improve food acceptance of young children with food overselectivity (i.e., picky eating).

Working as a speech-language pathologist, Kristina has acquired experience working with a wide variety of clients, ages birth through high school. Kristina has a passion for working with early intervention, preschool, and elementary-aged children. Kristina demonstrates an eagerness for working with children with Pediatric Feeding Disorders and food overselectivity. Due to her work in an elementary school setting (i.e., grades K - 6), she has extensive experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Kristina has a passion for improving expressive and receptive language skills in young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While working with a range of clients, Kristina’s primary goal is to facilitate personal, communal, familial, and cultural connections with the client in order to seek progress, maintain skills, and facilitate functional activities of daily living. Kristina’s ultimate goal is to provide children and their families with an exciting and enriching experience while highlighting their strengths and abilities.
